CAREER OPPORTUNITY: The State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, commonly known as State Life or SLIC, is the largest life insurance corporation in Pakistan. It operates by assets as well as a leading insurer in the country by extending the benefits of insurance to all sections of society and meeting our commitments to policyholders and the nation.

SLIC is looking for dynamic and result-oriented professionals for the following positions on a contract basis for three (03) years, further extendable subject to satisfactory performance:





1. Assistant General Manager (Board Secretariat)

  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Location: Karachi Based
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • Minimum 18 years of education, having completed MBA / M.Com / MPA / LLB or equivalent/relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC with a minimum of 05 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
    • Must have knowledge, skills & experience in legal & corporate governance.
    • Good functional competencies include decision-making, problem-solving, presentation, analytical thinking, and communication.
    • Must be excellent in IT knowledge and verbal & written communication skills.
    • Chartered Secretary-certified candidates shall be preferred.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Board agendas, minutes, and board papers for Board Members.
  • Responsible for the internal, external, and regulatory compliance of the Board-related portfolio.
  • Maintain the custody of legal and confidential records, including Policies and Procedures about the Board Secretariat.
  • Ensure board meetings are conducted by relevant regulations and standards and act as a bridge between the Board and other stakeholders.
  • Provide legal, financial, and/or strategic advice during and outside meetings.
  • Provide suggestions to SECP and file requirements concerning new laws or policies.
  • Assist in improving governance and update relevant departments regarding any changes to rules and regulations.
  • Maintain accuracy in statutory documents and ensure their timely delivery.

2. Manager (Board Secretariat)

  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Location: Karachi Based
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • Minimum 16 years of education, having completed BS/BBA/LLB or equivalent relevant qualification from a reputable university recognized by HEC with a minimum of 03 to 04 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
    • Proven experience in Corporate Governance / Secretariat / Legal roles and compliance requirements.
    • Hands-on experience working with Ms. Office and strong communication skills.
    • Chartered Secretary-certified candidates shall be preferred.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Divisional Head/Company Secretary in organizing the Board and Committee Meetings.
  • Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings including scheduling, sending out meeting notices, and distributing the recording of the proceedings. Prepare the minutes and their implementation.
  • Assist the Corporate Secretariat team in their routine operations and ensure statutory compliance with SECP, SBP, and other Institutions.
  • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate record keeping of the Corporate Secretariat department as per the record-keeping standards

3. Manager (Communication Strategist)

  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Location: Karachi Based
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • Minimum 18 years of education, having completed MBA / M.Com / MPA or equivalent relevant qualification from a reputable University recognized by HEC with a minimum of 05 to 06 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
    • Proven knowledge of communication theories, leadership qualities, and the ability to clearly and concisely write and edit professional communication materials.
    • Event Planning experience is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge in Media communication, and related processes, and proven experience in Social Media, Photography, and Digital Visual Analytics.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage strategic communication plans to enhance the Corporation’s visibility and public image.
  • Oversee the various communication projects and coordinate with external communication initiatives to promote the Corporation’s service & program.
  • Plan special events including working with vendors, preparing materials, arranging venues, and associated services.
  • Oversee and manage the Corporation’s communication needs through the development and delivery of press articles, newsletters, web content, and crisis planning.
  • Manage the Corporation’s media and regulatory agencies to ensure strategic media channels.
  • Create strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity.

4. Deputy Manager (Digital Media Officer

  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Location: Karachi Based
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • Minimum 16 years of education, having completed BBA / B.Com / BS / BCS or relevant qualification from a reputable University recognized by HEC with a minimum of 03 to 04 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
    • Strong understanding of Social Media Platforms, Digital Advertising, and SEO/SEM.
    • Proficient in Digital Analytical Tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Digital Media Strategy.
  • Manage online brand presence and establish effective brand awareness by analyzing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and promote innovative insurance products & services and increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Identify KPIs and track the success of digital campaigns.
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, handle customer service issues on social media platforms, and stay updated with digital trends.
  • Use of analytical tools to track and report on the performance of digital campaigns.
  • Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve online visibility.
  • Manage search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns to drive more traffic to the organization’s website.

5. Deputy Manager (on contract)

  • No. of Posts: 3
  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • LLB from HEC recognized (Preference will be given to LLM holders).
    • 05 years of active practice as an Advocate of the High Court.
    • Must be registered in the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance/opinion on all issues about the Law Division.
  • Represent the SLIC in litigations in various courts and devise strategies to expedite the disposal of Court cases.
  • Writing all documents, petitions, and reports to be submitted to the courts and preparing comments to be submitted to the courts of law.
  • Prepare a procedure for handling major court cases.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis for the Senior Management.
  • Liaise with relevant Government offices, panel law firms, and other department authorities for the Company’s litigation.
  • Devise standard guidelines for court cases, especially complex ones, and those requiring urgent action.
  • Represent the SLIC as a Departmental Representative on Court cases.
  • Identify potential legal risks and suggest proactive strategies to mitigate them.

6. Assistant Manager (on contract)

  • No. of Posts: 4
  • Max Age Limit: 45 years
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • LLB from HEC recognized (Preference will be given to LLM holders).
    • 03 years of active practice as an Advocate of the High Court.
    • Must be registered in the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Vetting of all policy documents referred by any Division, speaking orders to be issued by the Competent Authority in the Corporation.
  • Prepare the para wise comments in collaboration with Divisional offices and/or the legal team.
  • Follow up on cases day to day and update the same to the concerned department.
  • Assist in the cases to be filed on behalf of the SLIC where necessary.

7. Executive Officer (on contract)

  • No. of Posts: 1
  • Max Age Limit: 35 years
  • Minimum Qualification, Experience:
    • LLB from HEC recognized (Preference will be given to LLM holders).
    • 02 years of active practice as an Advocate.
    • Must be registered in the Bar Council.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with different departments of the SLIC to provide legal advice/opinion on the issues about the Division.
  • Vetting of all policies, orders, guidelines, notice documents, and contracts/legal notices in coordination with client departments as well as their legal advocacy.
  • Defend cases efficiently, effectively, and in a professional manner, ensuring that any damage to the brand is minimized.
  • Manage and maintain the record of all cases, petitions, and suits handled by the Honorable Tribunals.
