Team Lead Employee Labor Relations (ER/IR)

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for leading and executing ELR, ER/IR strategies/agenda/action plan(s) to maintain compliance to applicable statutory requirements related to labor affairs and internal/external inspections/audits, to ensure zero non-conformances, at all times, along with industrial peace and harmony at Company.
• Establish and maintain strong liaisons with Government departments.
• Lead and manage as Management Representative (MR) in any labor case at Court(s), and/or internal inquiry committee(s).
• Support HR & Leadership Team in change management from an ELR/ER/IR perspective.
• Works closely in team with HR to develop and execute enterprise employee engagement plan including third party, and advice on HR interventions.
• Responsible for handling Unions, Federations, and pressure groups internally & externally. Also, for the compliance of timely review and applicable Industrial Relations Act, tracking action points & ensuring timely closure of gaps.
• Responsible for benchmarking for COD perks & benefits. Responsible for preparing/developing a Management Committee to lead overall HR key departments and alignment from senior leadership. Continuously keep a check on the clauses of CBA & compliance with the renewed CBA. Leading wage agreements and preparing possible options.
• Propose a course of action to manage any demands with CBA promptly and avoid any ER or legal risks.
• Manage all annual 3P labor/admin. Services & affairs from the domain of HR and Plant.
• Ensure implementation and change management of any change in law/legislation on an immediate basis to avoid any non-conformance.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:

• Min. Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role and/or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Pakistan’s labor laws and industrial code of conduct.
• Experience in handling Union & Labor Management, Wage Agreements, Industrial Audits, and Labor Affairs.
• Excellent understanding of Govt. Laws, Acts, and their application.
• Well-versed in handling Employee Relations and Union matters, Work Partners & Admin/IR affairs.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills, along with the management of CBA, unions, legacy plant compliances, plant ER/IR, and audit activities.
• Must have strong problem-solving, negotiation, and advanced management skills, and be passionate about Employee Engagement with excellent communication and coordination skills.
