Sr. Design Engineer – Electrical

Department Design (Process Equipment Division)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with PEC certification

Experience Required: 8 to 10 years (Oil & Gas / Power sector)

Job Description

• Design, develop, and modify electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (NEC, IEC, etc.)
• Create detailed drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications as per different project requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure all designs adhere to safety standards, regulations, and best engineering practices.
• Validate electrical system designs and perform calculations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during implementation.
• Provide technical support throughout the installation, testing, and commissioning phases of the EPCC projects.
• Prepare specifications for the procurement of LV/MV motors, Drives, generators, and transformers.
• Design LV/MV switchgear, AMF/ATS panels, and perform short circuit calculations.
• Perform sizing and calculations for LV/MV power cables, transformers, and Generators.
• Conduct load and short circuit studies using ETAP.
• Contribute to lighting studies, layouts, and designs.
• Ensure proper grounding, lightning protection, and cathodic protection systems.
